About Our Makers

We work directly with makers and small businesses in Southern Africa who have an underlying focus on developing artisanal skill within their community. Behind each of these small businesses is an incredible team who have dedicated their lives towards developing their own skill, and teaching and encouraging development within their communities.

We place huge value on handcrafted pieces, the product of thousands of hours spent learning, creating, failing, persevering, succeeding, and enjoying. Each item is not a mass produced good, but a one-of-a-kind piece reflecting the idiosyncrasies of its maker.

The traditional skills used by our makers are passed down from generation to generation, creating sustainable employment opportunity, and keeping the art of artisanal skill alive.
